Three methods for different recovery needs.
Incremental backup adds data without reproducing source deletions. Differential backup reconciles at configured intervals, so point-in-time accuracy is limited to completed reconciliation points. Point-in-time mode reconciles on each run but remains subject to connector, ingestion-window and retention limits.
Connection methods affect available modes.
Gmail API sources currently support incremental mode only. For point-in-time needs, assess another suitable connection, such as Google IMAP, and verify permissions, scope and results.

Confirm mailboxes and data scope, configure backup work and review run results. Then validate representative restore scenarios. Routine checks should cover exceptions, storage and retention.

Recoverability depends on successful capture, the selected mode, completed reconciliation and remaining retention. Point-in-time functionality does not guarantee a complete mailbox from any date.
